The new testament was originally written in Greek and is divided into four sections:

1. Historical
2. The Epistles of Paul
3. The General Epistles
4. Prophetic

The historical books include Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts

The epistles of Paul include Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Phillipians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, and Philemon.

The general epistles include Hebrews*,James,1 Peter,2 Peter,1 John,2 John,3 John, and Jude.

The prophetic book includes the book of Revelation.

Note* The author of the book of Hebrews is unknown but is believed to be the writings of either Paul, or Peter so I have included it in the general epistles.
